These release notes highlight the most important new features published in our June 2024 documentation.
This clip shows how easy it is teach Primal Ranch’s Elara Voss how to greet a new recruit. For many other features, including customizing character personality, voices, text, and language, see AI text and voice generation. This update is immensely valuable for iteration, customized experiences, and user-created experiences in the future.
After we equipped Elara with everything she needed within her own experience, we embedded her inside of Primal Ranch, making her a fully fledged component of a larger experience!
Experience embedding allows you to include fully functional copies of experiences within other ones. It enables content sharing and reuse, and can be leveraged to create more complex experiences from individual pieces.
This feature has already reduced the amount of duplication in our Verse experiences by over 90%!
The Enklu Identity Backend enables management of persistent player identities and data in the cloud, using the Kiosk Application for operators. New Player APIs are available to leverage this persistent player data in experiences.
This feature allows users to pick up where they left off from their last visit, thereby increasing customer retention and engagement.
Eliminates the need for manual Enklu app updating by operators, thus reducing friction points and creating a better Enklu/operator relationship.
Eliminates the need for manual asset downloading by operators every time a new experience is released, including new tools for identifying all assets used by an experience and APIs for downloading missing assets.
Extensive search improvements to the Web Editor have already sped up the velocity of many development tasks by orders of magnitude.
New debug mode accessible from web editor, HoloLens, API, and voice commands supercharges authoring and operational support. T
Debug Mode can be leveraged to run specific code or only show particular elements when enabled, either for pure debugging purposes or implementing a secret experience mode that can do certain things normal users cannot.
